Stamp Collecting – Time to Laugh!
Here’s a fun issue from Canada celebrating the lives of
famous Canadian comedians.
Featured on the 5 stamp set are:
Mike Myers – who could forget him on Saturday Night Live,
Wayne’s World or as the infamous Austin Powers & Dr. Evil!
Martin Short – an amazingly talented actor and comedian.
Featured on SCTV and Saturday Night Live, he is currently appearing on the new
TV show Mulaney.
Catherine O’Hara – Also from SCTV, she is probably best
known (at least by me!) as Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice and as Macaulay Culkin’s
mother in Home Alone.
Olivier Guimond – Although not famous in America, he is
quite well-known in his native Canada for the roles he played on television in
the 60’s and 70’s.
Jim Carrey – a comic genius! His breakthough roll on In
Living Color, catapulted him to fame and his later appearances in Ace Ventura,
The Mask, Dumb & Dumber, etc., cemented his place is comedic history.
